Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon today criticized the investiture of new members of Filip government.
The official noted that the minister appointed today would be deprived of legitimacy. “In another political and geopolitical context, it would have justified an output force of people to stop defiant actions of the government. Now, when only a few months are before the parliamentary elections, we should avoid emotions”, Dodon said.
At the same time, the Party of Socialists (PSRM) announced that during the first plenary sessions of the spring-summer session of parliament, “the party will come up with an initiative to set motion of censure against the new members of the government”.
The spokesman of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Vitalie Gamurari, said “the Socialists’ initiative attempts to achieve the president’s intention not to admit the new ministers to work within Filip government”. “PDM will not support this initiative, showing that PSRM leader remains Igor Dodon”, Gamurari said.
The nominated ministers took the oath today. The appointment decrees were signed by Speaker Andrian Candu, temporarily acting as president of the country, after Igor Dodon repeatedly rejected the candidates proposed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
