Sweden to back Moldova in modernization process

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Signe Burgstaller. The officials exchanged opinions on the Moldovan-Swedish cooperation and the cabinet’s agenda for 2018, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The prime minister thanked the Swedish authorities for backing Moldova’s European integration and for the support provided in reforms’ promotion. In the context, Pavel Filip said that the 2018 year would be one of development, when the cabinet will keep far from politics and will focus concrete steps, in order to enhance the Moldovan citizens’ well-being.
The prime minister referred to priorities on the government’s 2018 agenda, among which the justice reform, the one of the education system and the country’s economic development. Special emphasis will be put on social reforms, investments in roads’ infrastructure, as well as on the information technology sector.
The Swedish diplomat wished the PM success in the 2018 year, reiterating Sweden’s support for the country’s efforts of modernization and aligning with the European standards.
