Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the signing of an agreement on air services with Ukraine, as a results of which the air transport market between Chisinau and Kiev will be liberalized.
Presently, the bilateral relations in the air transport sector between the two countries are regulated based on the agreement between the Moldovan and Ukrainian governments on air services, signed in Chisinau on 20 March 1993, as well as a string of additional protocols concluded according to the provisions of the concerned document between the aviation authorities of both countries.
The new draft agreement contains provisions applied to the transport of people and goods between states and is focused on principles of liberalization, which meet modern tendencies and recommendations by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The agreement is to enter into force not earlier than 15 July 2018.
