Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a regulation on the organization of vocational education syllabi through dual education. The document sees modernization of the normative framework on dual education, in line with the European standards, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The regulation establishes the defining elements for the dual education, time provided for the theoretical and practical training. At the same time, the regulation sets rights and obligations of the economic agents and vocational education institution, of the masters and instructors in production and of the one of the education institution and the pupil.
For the first time ever, the term of “apprenticeship salary” is introduced for remunerating the work carried out by the pupil at the enterprise. Also, the document regulates the powers of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) – government’s partner in carrying out the dual education syllabus. CCI will become an institution of support and monitoring the syllabi.
The dual education will be financed both from the state budget and sources of the economic agent.
Dual education is an alternative form of organizing the vocational education, which implies simultaneous training at a vocational education institution and at an enterprise. The share of practical training is about 70 per cent and the school-leavers can be employed at the enterprise.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, about 20 companies implemented such syllabi, in cooperation with nine vocational education institutions.
