Moldovan MPs put most questions to government in 2017

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - MPs put 103 questions and 7 interpellations to state institutions in 2017. Most ones, 29, were addressed to the government/State Chancellery, another 8 were put to the Moldovan prime minister, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Fifteen questions regarded the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, 9 were put to the Education, Culture and Research Ministry and 7 – to the Finance Ministry. Six questions were addressed to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, 5 ones were submitted to the Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General’s Office each. The Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry received four requests, the General Police Inspectorate – 3, 2 ones concerned the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry and the Audiovisual Coordination Council each. Other authorities and institutions received one request each.   

Lawmakers of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Party of Communists (PCRM) put 42 questions/interpellations with answers in plenum or in the written form, MPs of the Liberal Party – 12, Democratic Party and Party of Socialists – 5 questions each, non-affiliated lawmakers – 3 and the Group of the European People’s Party of Moldova – two questions. MPs Elena Bodnarenco (PCRM) and Iurie Tap (PLDM) put most questions – 29 requests each.  

No debts were registered in the number of interpellations addressed. At the same time, 4 questions received from MPs have got no answer on behalf of state institutions.
