Meteorologists forecast cooling of weather in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ – The frost and sunshine, with no precipitation, forecast meteorologists for upcoming days, when old Orthodox Christians will celebrate the New Year and Sfantul Vasile (St. Basil).
The saying: The winter is not eaten by the wolf, comes to confirm in mid – January, when the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) forecasts temperature drops of up to minus 12ºC. As such, on 13 – 14 January, it is expected plus 01 – minus 05ºC in the north, during the daytime, and minus 04ºC – minus 09ºC, at night – time. In the central and southern regions, thermal values will be a few degrees closer to plus, but also in these areas the cold will be felt.
The coldest will be at the beginning of the next week, because on Monday and Tuesday thermometers will indicate lowest, so far, values this winter, descending on average in Moldova up to 0ºC – 05ºC, in the day and minus 07ºC – 12ºC at night. Commencing 17 January, the weather will warm up, with possible rainy and snowy precipitation.
In Moldova, the average air temperature in the winter is in the territory between – 01,2ºC and – 03,3ºC. The coldest month of winter is January, when the average monthly temperature is – 03ºC ... – 5ºC.
