Moldovan PM attends gala of annual awards in culture sector, 2018 issue

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, participated at the Gala of the Annual Awards in Culture sector, 2018 issue, today, organized on occasion of the National Culture Day. The event attracted 14 people of culture, who became remarkable through their creations in 2017, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, congratulated laureates and said that the National Day of Culture, marked with the birthday of the great poet Mihai Eminescu, is not only an opportunity to reflect on cultural phenomenon of Moldova, but also transmit a message of gratitude, appreciation and encouragement to all beautiful creators.
"With appreciation of most notorious musicians, writers, theatre artists, plastic artists, librarians, museographers, filmmakers, animators of cultural life in villages and towns, we reconfirm once again our determination to fully implement provisions of strategy "Culture 2020". Throughout these it is rightly given to culture status of national priority," said Pavel Filip. In the context, the Prime Minister reiterated that the Executive continues to make efforts to improve working and remuneration conditions of those working in the field.
Similarly, Pavel Filip said that a particular emphasis in negotiations with external partners it would be put on cultural projects. As such, there were mentioned restoration of Soroca Fortress, Hanul lui Manuc (Inn Manuc) in Hancesti, National Museum of Arts and the Organ Hall.
The National Culture Day has been marked on 15 January yearly, since 2012. On this occasion, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research organizes, on 13 – 20 January 2018, several cultural actions such as exhibitions and workshops, literary – musical and dramatic performances, laying of flowers and giving tributes to great poet Mihai Eminescu.
