Moldovan creation people awarded prizes at annual gala in culture sector

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry today organized a gala of annual awards in the culture sector, the 2018 issue, on the occasion of the National Culture Day. The awards were offered for the most representative works in the fields of literature, theatre, music, choreography, fine arts, librarianship, restoration, conservation of the cultural heritage and museography.    

The move’s goal is to back and promote the creative capacities and improve the mastership of culture people from Moldova. Attending the event were the persons who were awarded the prizes at the present issue and their guests, Prime Minister Pavel Flip, Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, Education, Culture and Research Minister Monica Babuc, other cabinet members, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Moldova, honorary guests and culture people.    

In his speech, Prime Minister Pavel Filip, said, inter alia, that the National Culture Day was a happy occasion to thing about the culture phenomenon, as well as to convey a message of encouragement and valuing to those who work in this sector.   

For her part, Education, Culture and Research Minister Monica Babuc stressed that the gala of awards of the laureates in the culture field was held in the context of the National Culture Day, as well as of the birthday of the national poet Mihai Eminescu, who introduced the nation in the universal culture.  

A folk music singer, People’s Artist Mihai Ciobanu, who collected and sang over 300 songs, was awarded the prize Isidor Burdin in the immaterial cultural heritage field. A painter and sketcher, Emil Childescu, was awarded the prize Mihai Grecu in the fine arts sector.    

\Writer Dumitru Crudu was awarded the prize Constatin Stere in the field of literature, an actress at the Geneza ART theatre, Daniela Burlaca, and an actor of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre, Ghenadie Galca were awarded the prize Valeriu Cupcea in the theatrical art sector. Brothers Edgar, Marcel and Veaceslav Stefanet were offered the prize Gavriil Muzicescu in the music field; stage manager Violeta Gorgos – the prize Emil Loteanu in the cinematography sector and the director of the district museum of history and ethnography from Telenesti, Elena Elescu – the prize Stefan Ciobanu in the field of conservation of the cultural heritage and muzeography.    

The prize Spiridon Mocanu in the choreography field (folk dance) was awarded to the headmaster of the George Enescu Art School from Calarasi, Grigore Radu; the Ion Madan prize in the librarianship and bibliography sector went to Anna Batmanova, the director of the Jewish Library – I. Mangher Culture Centre, a branch of the B.P Hasdeu Municipal Library.      

A producer of musical programmes from the Teleradio-Moldova National Broadcasting Company, Natalia Moraru-Vasilcau, was awarded the prize Gheorghe Cincilei; at the same time, the prize Alexandru Fedco went to the director of the National Centre for Conservation and Promotion of the Immaterial Cultural Heritage, Diana Dicusari, for the best management in the culture sector.
