Citizens from 33 states to be able to travel free visa to Moldova

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government, at a today’s meeting, approved the removal of the obligation to hold visas for the citizens of 33 states from South America, Central America and Asia. These countries presently have a liberalized visa regime with the European Union, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The measure ensures the free movement of persons, facilitates interaction between business people, creates prerequisites for increasing the goods export, as well as for turning to account the tourism and cultural potential of Moldova.
It is worth mentioning that seven out of the 33 states have already lifted the compulsoriness for Moldovans to hold entry visas. At the same time, the Chisinau authorities will start discussions with other states, in order to ensure the removal of visas for the Moldovan citizens.
