Eight people hospitalized in the wake of traffic accidents in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ – Eight people got hospitalized with various traumas caused by road accidents which took place on Moldova’s routes in the last 24 hours, when it snowed all over Moldova.
Interviewed by the Agency, press officer of the National Patrol Inspectorate (INP), Natalia Golovco, said that five serious road accidents were recorded on 17 January and 18 January 2018.
According to the cited source, following the recorded precipitations, it is difficult to travel on national routes and anti – skid material is sprinkled.
Also, drivers at railway stations in the districts are warned and checked by the INP officers if they have the appropriate tyres on buses and to those who do not meet the requirements it forbidden to drive.
Totally, there are involved 126 crews and 277 patrol officers in maintaining road safety and providing assistance to citizens. Also, all patrol crews are equipped with necessary equipment to support citizens.
According to Golovco, during the night, 37 cars, 2 cars and an ambulance were blocked on highway from Cornesti where a minor child was in serious condition and in Falesti district there was a car with a family with two minor children, all the inhabitants of Bocsa village.
The meteorologists announce the Orange Code of snow and sleet almost for all the districts of Moldova. The heavy snowfall will reduce towards the evening of 18 January and the weather warm up slightly in upcoming days.
