Moldova ratifies protocol on convention on contract on international goods transport on highways

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The decree establishing Moldova’s adhesion to the additional protocol to the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) concerning the electronic carriage letter will be published in the 19 January issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The protocol was ratified by the parliament on 15 December 2017 and is aimed at facilitating the cooperation in the sector with the signatory states, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Russia, Ukraine, France, Turkey, Romania.
Among the basic goals of the document ratified, there are facilitating the optimum compilation of the CMR carriage letter, developing international transport corridors, promoting an efficient policy in the international transports sector, improvement and modernization of the legal framework of the cooperation in the field, optimizing the transport connections in the organization of goods transport between the signatory countries.
