Moldova's parliamentary commission for foreign policy approve candidacies for offices of ambassadors

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration, at a today’s meeting, considered and approved the candidacies for the offices of ambassadors of Moldova to the Netherlands, Belgium, Lithuania and China, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Tatiana Pirvu is the candidate for the position of Moldova’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Netherlands, Lilian Darie – to Belgium, Sergiu Mihov will be Moldova’s representative in Lithuania and Denis Jelimalai – to China.
Under the Article 10 on the diplomatic service, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors, resident representatives, envoys and charge d’affairs en titre (residents) – heads of diplomatic missions – are appointed to and recalled from office by Moldova’s president, at a proposal by the government. The proposals on the appointment to these positions are put forward by the foreign affairs and European integration minister to government, after the consultation of the parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration.
