Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ – Four customs posts resumed their activity after being shut down due to strong snowfalls. Also, five other posts remain inoperable.

According to the Customs Service’s public relations service info, traffic was restored to customs posts Mirnoe, Molovata, Harbovat and Cismichioi.

Similarly, the activity is stopped at customs stations Basarabeasca, Ceadar – Lunga 1, Ceadar – Lunga 2, Saiti and Giurgiulesti 2.

Interviewed by agency, spokeswoman of the Customs Service, Cristina Rau, specified that stations that ceased activity were on the southern segment of the Moldovan – Ukrainian border. “During traffic suspension through these crossing points, persons can opt for other border customs posts, such as Cismichioi and Mirnoe, which are already functioning”, said Cristina Rau.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, nine crossing points were closed on 18 January 2018.
