Most roads being practicable in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ – Most highways in Moldova are practicable, according to state road administration (ASD). Also, there are road segments where traffic is difficult or access of cars is blocked.
Interviewed by agency, head of operational service of ASD, Sergiu Capatina, said that there were involved 230 motorists and 377 workers during the night. "There were used almost 1,600 tons of anti – slip material on roads," said Sergiu Capatina.
According to the Chisinau city hall’s information and media communication service, employees of municipal enterprise Exdrupo intervened with 64 road – cleaning vehicles and scattered anti – skidding material on arteries where circulate public transport and roads to the suburbs. There will be taken action especially in suburban areas today. Similarly, the housing and commune department intervened with 45 machines and with over 400 workers for cleaning of sidewalks, access ways inside courtyards of residential blocks and stations of waiting for the public transport at 04:00 a.m.
Press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSE), Diana Tutu, said for agency that currently it is difficult to travel on sections of roads Anenii Noi – Causeni – Stefan Voda, Visniovca – Cantemir, Vulcanesti – Cahul – Taraclia, Leova – Cantemir. "Four hundred employees carried out traction and unblocking of cars, doing more than 120 interventions in more districts of the country. During the night, there activated three crisis cells established in the northern, southern and central subdivisions," said Tutu.
The national patrol inspectorate (INP) announced that at present, in central area, circulation of heavy trucks in Ciobanovca and Calfa villages is stopped. At the same time, 4 heavy trucks are blocked in Chisinau municipality on the road section from boulevard Dacia to street Drumul Bacioilor. Similarly, two routes are blocked in the south, and the traffic of heavy vehicles is restricted. Also, several access roads to a number of localities in Causeni and Stefan Voda districts are blocked.
Contacted by agency, the head of weather forecasts centre (CPM) of the State Hydrometeorological Service (GHS), Ghenadie Rosca, specified that the weather would be cooling down in upcoming days. "The snowfall will occur tomorrow and on 22 January," said Rosca.
According to the SHS’s public relations service info, temperatures for the next week are set to – 14ºC at night, and maximums up to – 06ºC during the day.
