Moldova still has 166 localities in 15 districts left without electricity out of bad weather

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ – A number of 166 localities in 15 districts still lack electricity out of bad weather.

Interviewed by agency, General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations’ (IGSU) press officer, Diana Tutu, said that until 09:00 there were localities in districts of Ialoveni, Criuleni, Orhei, Hincesti, Telenesti, Stefan Voda, Anenii Noi, Cahul, Cantemir, Basarabeasca, Leova, Ungheni and others.

Press officer of the National Patrol Inspectorate (INP), Natalia Golovco, said for agency that within recent 24 hours, when it was snowing almost in all Moldova, there were eight serious road accidents involving 17 traumatized persons. "Overnight throughout the country, there were involved 54 crews and 101 patrol officers into maintenance of road safety, aiding snow removal and cleaning of roads," said Golovco.

The meteorologists forecast snow for 20 January 2018 with temperatures of at least – 2ºC, after which the weather will cool slightly reaching values – 14ºC next mid – week.
