Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca on 22-23 January will pay a working visit to Brussels, where he will have a string of important meetings with more decision-makers of the European Union. During discussions, Leanca will inform European partners on Moldova’s government’s commitment to speed up the reforms in key sectors, in particular, the one of justice and fighting corruption, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Also, the deputy prime minister for European integration will discuss the financial assistance for Moldova, turning to good account the potential of the free trade area, as well as materialization of opportunities provided within the Eastern Partnership.
“I go to Brussels to convey a clear-cut message that Moldova is really willing to reform more fields in which there are problems. I am sure that, through the promotion of reforms coherently, we will manage to substantially boost the dialogue with EU on diverse dimensions, so that the citizens feel the benefits of the rapprochement with EU as soon as possible,” Iurie Leanca said.
It is worth mentioning that, earlier this week, Iurie Leanca had a working meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union member states accredited in Chisinau, as well as with representatives of more national institutions on different subjects dealing with the Moldova-EU bilateral agenda.
