Moldovan diplomacy head receives ambassador of Romania

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi today had a meeting with Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.

The officials exchanged opinions on topical issues on the agenda of the Moldovan-Romanian relations, including in the context of Moldova’s European integration process. The sides paid special attention to prospects for developing the bilateral cooperation in diverse fields of mutual interest.

The two diplomats also confirmed mutual interest in speeding up and diversifying the Moldovan-Romanian political dialogue, boosting the commercial and economic exchanges and strengthening the cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

At the same time, the sides tackled also the subject on organizing a visit to Bucharest by the head of the Moldovan diplomacy, with Minister Ulianovschi reiterating willingness to visit Romania in the near future.
