Record number of native enterprise announce participation in Made in Moldova exhibition

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 420 Moldovan enterprises have announced their participation in the Fabricat in Moldova (Made in Moldova) exhibition, due to be staged under the government’s patronage at the Moldexpo Exhibition Centre on 31 January – 4 February. “This is a record number. While in the previous years, the number of the participants stood at 270-350, and in 2017, it reached 370 native enterprises, this year, their number went up to 420,” the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sergiu Harea, told a today’s news conference.     

“The exhibition will occupy an area of 3,100 square metres. The demand was pretty high, so that there are no available places for companies. The places in the three pavilions have been fully filled,” the CCI president said. Enterprises working in the food industry, vine-growing and wine-making branch, furniture industry, light industry, equipments, technology and apparatus, as well as scientific research institutions, popular craftsmen will participate in the exhibition. “Last year, we had more than 45,000 single visitors. We hope that their number will increase this year,” the CCI head noted.   

Sergiu Harea also said that it was for the first time ever that Made in Moldova national exhibition would be held with the title, Made in Moldova – Made for You!. And this given that the main goal of the exhibition, which is at its 17th issue, is to back the native producer, promote competitive goods on the domestic and external market, attract investments and boost the public-private dialogue.  

A novelty is carrying out, on 1 February, of an investment forum in the country’s southern region, in which six districts and investors from abroad will participate. A number of 60 companies will go to Cahul to have meetings and discussions with 200 local companies, Sergiu Harea said.  

Just as in the earlier issues, the exhibition will host a comprehensive business programme, within which up-to-date subjects, both for consumers and producers,  will be tackled. Diverse contests, roundtables, presentations of companies and products, seminars, as well as conferences on subjects of interest in the sector of commercial and economic cooperation will be organized. Two business forums will take place, with the participation of entrepreneurs from Belarus and Romania. The Chamber of Commerce will organize two roundtables about legislative news on ATA Carnets and training in dual system. 

Representatives from over ten countries, including Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, Latvia, Iran, etc. will take part in the exhibition.  

Made in Moldova is the event which begins the exhibition year in Moldova.
