Moldovan government rules to increase single birth grant

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - The single birth grant has been increased by 345 lei and will stand at 5,654 lei. The growth was approved at a today’s cabinet meeting, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The grant will be paid for the children born starting from 1 January 2018. About 198.2 million lei is provided for in the 2018 state budget to this end.

The measure is part of the government’s goal to promote pro-active policies of backing families with children and ensuring needed conditions for upbringing and educating children in the family environment.
