Shelterless people to benefit from services of accommodation, social reintegration in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a framework regulation on the organization and work of the Service of overnight-shelter for shelterless people and minimum quality standards for the services provided within this service, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Under the draft, citizens at risk will be provided overnight accommodation, nourishment, clothes, as well as assistance for social reintegration. At the same time, at the Service, people will benefit from the first medical aid, psychological counseling, support for getting identity papers and employment.
The social services will be created on the territory of Moldova, depending on the needs identified and will have a capacity of up to 70 beneficiaries for the warm season of the year and 100 beneficiaries at the most in the cold season. The stay period will be beginning with 20:00 till 7:00 starting from April until October and starting from 18:00 till 7:00 for the period November-March. Depending on the category of beneficiaries, a schedule of stay with individual regime may be established, including with possibilities of stay during the day.
The expenses for the organization and work of the Service of overnight-shelter for shelterless people will be met by founders and the costs of the services provided are estimated at about 4,300 lei monthly for each beneficiary.
Presently, services for providing support to shelterless people work in the Chisinau and Balti municipalities, as well as in the Ungheni town.
