Moldovan PM attends festive event on 26th anniversary of State Protection and Guard Service

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip today participated in a festive ceremony organized on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the founding of the State Protection and Guard Service, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The premier appreciated the efforts to modernize the institution, noting that the service is developing in parallel with the demands of time and is now an effective structure capable of meeting the challenges. Filip pointed out the officers’ dedication to their mission. “Your profession requires being less in the light of the projectors, be farther from the sight of all. At the same time, your professionalism and presence are constantly felt”.

Filip said that the government is aware of the problems faced by the SPPS employees and is concerned about ensuring better remuneration for exercising the state security mission.

At the same time, the premier noted the achievements of the service, including the results of the World Championship “Bodyguard-2017”, speak about the consolidation and good organization of the team and contribute to increasing attractiveness of the SPPS officer profession.
