Moldovan foreign affairs ministry's secretary general on visit to Bucharest

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - State Secretary General of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) Mihail Capatina on 26 January paid a working visit to Bucharest, within which he met officials of the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry, the MAEIE public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.

At a meeting with State Secretary Danut Sebastian Neculaescu, the officials exchanged opinions on the latest developments on the political stages of Moldova and Romania, as well as on the agenda of the visits by the two countries’ government and foreign affairs ministry officials. Danut Sebastian Neculaescu reiterated the support of the Romanian authorities to the Moldovan governance for the maintenance of Moldova’s European course.   

At a meeting with State Secretary Cosmin Dinescu and experts group on consular and human resources issues, the discussions were focused on the exchange of expertise and experience in consular matters and human resources’ management at the diplomatic service, good practices of Romania as regards the high and modern level of providing consular services, enforcement of the single technology-based mechanism in the consular activity of the diplomatic missions. The sides reconfirmed interest in the organization and holding consular consultations, as well as signing of a protocol on cooperation for facilitating activities and actions in situations of consular crisis and situations of major emergency/disasters/natural calamities.       

The Romanian side offered and proposed to delegate to Bucharest representatives of Moldova’s Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry for exchange of experience and practical training in the consular sector.
