Moldova 2020-2030 strategy to be completed shortly - PM says

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/- The National Development Strategy “Moldova 2020-2030” will be completed shortly, a first draft was presented recently. Prime Minister Pavel Filip made the statement at a TV show.
Filip said that the document will be adapted to sustainable development goals and will be subject to public consultations. “We will enable experts to attend. In strategy, everything will be centered on the citizen and will be shown what the state needs to make people feel good,” he said.
The premier noted that despite criticism, the cabinet managed to overcome the 2016 crisis and met the conditions for the first installment of the macro-financial agreement, and the money could reach the country in March or April.
“The rule of law is the most important pillar on which a state is built. There are many criticisms. Moldova has not got EU budget support for arrears in the justice reform. No one points out that the arrears were for 2015. In 2016, arrears of justice were lifted. The assessment method is very rigid. What was to be done in 2015, was to be done in 2015. Even if we recovered, it means we have not met obligations as we have assumed. It is very important and it is one of the government’s priorities to continue the reform of the judicial reform and fight against corruption”, Filip said.
On 25 January, the government led by Filip marked two years of swearing in office.
