Moldovan PM meets Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, within his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), today had a meeting with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The officials discussed the Moldova-UAE partnership and prospects for boosting the cooperation, noting that presently there were all needed prerequisites on this purpose. In the context, the sides highlighted more working visits paid in the last period, as well as the fostering of cooperation through the signing of bilateral agreements.
The prime minister said Moldova was interested in the bolstering of the relations between entrepreneurs from the two countries, including through the opening of mixed capital companies. In the context, Pavel Filip invited UAE investors to come to Moldova, stressing that more reforms had been carried out on the last period to back the development of the business environment. At the same time, Moldova has free trade agreements with the European Union and Turkey, which provide important sales markets.
Another subject of discussions was focused on the free movement of the citizens from the two states. Pavel Filip said Moldova had already removed the visas for the citizens from the Emirates and was prepared to removing them for the UAE residents as well.
In the context, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed thanked for the abolition of the visa regime, noting that the United Arab Emirates supported the modernization of Moldova and UAE investors were interested in extending their business in Moldova. In this respect, the official from Emirates proposed to organize a visit to Moldova by UAE business people. The officials confirmed willingness to further develop the bilateral relations, by fully using the current potential.
In the end of the meeting, Pavel Filip invited Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to visit Moldova.
