Members of Ciubuc government express condolences about passing away of former premier

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/- Members of Ciubuc government expressed condolences about the passing away of former Prime Minister of Moldova in 1997-1999, PhD in economics, Ion Ciubuc.
In a message of condolence, the colleagues of the former premier noted that Ion Ciubuc, in his everyday life, was characterized as modest and worthy of an unspoiled spine.
“He did not accept compromises when putting on the scales of truth and righteousness the most sacred human values. Colleagues of both governments shall preserve the best memories and express deep condolences to family, relatives”, the message reads.
At the same time, the signatories of the Declaration of Independence expressed their sympathy about the passing away of former premier.

Ion Ciubuc was born on 29 May 1943 in Hadarauti village, Ocnita district. During his lifetime, he worked as First Deputy Prime Minister and Permanent Representative of the government, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, First Deputy Minister of Economy and first head of the Court of Accounts.
For substantial contribution to the improvement of the economic-financial control and high professionalism, Ciubuc was awarded the Order of Labor Glory.
