Moldova, United Arab Emirates sign agreement on economic, technical cooperation

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today signed an agreement on economic and technical cooperation. State Secretary at the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry Vitalie Iurcu signed the document on behalf of Moldova.
According to the press service of the aforementioned ministry, the Agreement between government of Moldova and the government of the United Arab Emirates provides for the development of partnership in the following sectors: trade with goods and services, investments, industry, agriculture, infrastructure, environment, energy, information technologies and the financial and banking sector.
At the same time, within this Agreement, the sides agreed on setting up a Moldova-UAE joint economic commission, which will help boost the bilateral economic ties.
The agreement was signed in the context of a visit to the United Arab Emirates by Moldova’s delegation, led by Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
Presently, four bilateral treaties in the air, economic, investment and diplomatic fields are signed between the Moldovan cabinet and the government of the United Arab Emirates.
