Over 400 companies participate in "Made in Moldova" exhibition

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/- Over 400 local and mixed companies participate in the 17th issue of “Made in Moldova” exhibition, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) on 31 January-4 February at the Moldexpo centre, under the patronage of the government.
“The theme of the exhibition this year is “Made in Moldova-made for you”. Supporting local producers, we aim to promote companies that are primarily interested in quality and consumer benefit. The event has become an important national platform for economic agents who have made a name in business and for beginning entrepreneurs and this trend will be maintained”, CCI head Sergiu Harea said.
Peter Michalko, head of the EU Delegation to Moldova said that the trade and exports of the country to the European market, which are growing, show that Moldovan goods are becoming more and more competitive. “European market is one of the largest in the world, accounting for about 500 million consumers, or, for Moldovan producers it is an interesting challenge to have access to this market. We want to see Moldova with a strong economy as effective partner and for this we will provide the necessary cooperation and support”, he said.
"Made in Moldova" exhibition is an event that has the right to life and has to prove that the producers in our country can turn to good account investments, ensuring quality, efficiency and affordable price”, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici said.
The agenda of the exhibition includes several events, including fashion galleries and presentations of local brands, bilateral economic forums Moldova-Belarus and Moldova-Romania, roundtables on green economy topics, dual education etc. On 1 February, an international business forum will be held in Cahul with over 200 representatives of Moldovan and foreign enterprises from different sectors: agriculture, agro-food industry, information and communication technologies, textiles, construction, renewable energy, etc. The forum will conclude with a bilateral business meeting aimed at developing trade relations and international partnerships. At the same time, a job fair will be organized within the exhibition.
The exhibition is located sectorally this year, depending on the activity profile in the central pavilion. According to the organizers, “Made in Moldova”-2018 is expected to be visited by over 40,000 people. Among the official delegations from abroad are representatives from Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, Iran, Latvia and others.
