Centre of Information Technologies in Finances to take over powers of three state enterprises in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - The state enterprises Fintehinform, Fiscservinform and Vamservinform will be reorganized through transformation and merger with a public institution, Centre of Information Technologies in Finances, under a cabinet decision approved today.
The Finance Ministry is the founder of the new institution, which will take over the rights and duties of the aforementioned three entities. The creation of this institution fits into the public administration reform, assumed by the government, and its goal is to consolidate the responsibilities of the administrative authorities, in order to improve their management and ensure the provision of the best public services.
The sectors within the Centre’s competence are the management, development, maintenance and ensuring the work of the information systems in the following fields: public money, public procurements, tax and customs fields, other sectors assigned through normative acts. Some of the duties of the new entity are implementation of the single window mechanism when providing public services in the fields within its competence, digitalization of services provided, creation, holding and development of state information systems and resources in the fields within its competence.
During one month after upon the date of the decision’s entrance into force, the Finance Ministry will organize a contest on the selection of the director of the Centre of Information Technologies in Finances. Subsequently, decision-makers will elaborate and submit to the government for approval a methodology of calculating the tariffs for the services provided by the new public institution. The Centre, in a two-month period after the methodology’s approval, will work out the classified list of services provided and their tariffs and will submit it to the cabinet of ministers for approval.
