Moldova's government approves ratification of Moldovan-Georgian convention on avoidance of double taxation

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a draft law for the ratification of the convention between the governments of Moldova and Georgia on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax dodging as for the income taxes.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the document sees boosting the economic cooperation between the two states, through creation of friendly conditions for the business communities and attracting foreign investments into the national economy. At the same time, the act regulates the way the sides carry out exchange of information, in order to avoid double taxation and prevent tax dodging.
The Moldovan-Georgian convention was signed during a working visit to Tbilisi by Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 29 November 2017.
At present, Moldova enforces conventions/agreements on avoidance of double taxation with 48 states.
