Moldovan foreign minister meets President of Centre for Strategic and International Studies

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/- Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi held a meeting with John Hamre, President of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and other CSIS experts, on 2 February, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service has reported.

Ulianovschi presented the priorities of the foreign policy and the achievements registered by the Moldovan government in the implementation of the key-reforms, including in the judiciary and financial banking sectors. In this respect, the role of the USA was emphasized as a key partner supporting Moldova on the democratic reforms.

J. Hamre pointed out the efforts and constructive approach of the Moldovan government in the reforms, and noted the importance of maintaining commitment and a sustained pace in their implementation. They expressed openness and support for advancing the dialogue Moldova-USA through the CSIS discussion platforms.

The sides agreed on the importance of promoting via joint efforts Moldova-US partnership, including the strategic dialogue dimension.
