Yellow code of wind, heavy rains with sleet expected in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- Road workers and rescuers have warned people, especially car drivers, to exercise caution in the next period, as meteorologists announced yellow code of wind and heavy rains with sleet.

The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) announced for today yellow code of sudden change of weather. According to meteorologists, weather has changed in relation to the movement of a southern cyclone near the territory of Moldova.

“Precipitation will be during the day on large areas up to 15-20 liters per square meter, in the form of rain. Sleet is expected in the north. The eastern wind will increase up to 20 meters per second”, SHS said.
