Moldovan foreign affairs ministers meets representatives of European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi has had a meeting with representatives of the European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
The discussions were focused on relevant topical subjects of Moldova’s internal and foreign affairs, including the implementation of the provisions of the Moldova – EU Association Agreement, domestic reforms, relations with the neighbour countries, regional security, etc. The minister made a comprehensive presentation of the Moldovan government’s actions, current achievements and challenges. Ulianovschi stressed that Moldova would continue its European way and, on this road, the country was relying, in particular, on the support of friendly European countries.
The European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity was founded in January 1993 by the social-democratic parties and political foundations from EU countries and works in the Central and Eastern Europe. The Forum’s goal is development of close cooperation relations with states of the region, as well as strengthening the collaboration with western foundations. The Forum provides assistance to processes of transformation and democratization in the aforementioned regions and serves as a platform of cooperation between social-democratic parties, organizations and personalities.
