Moldovan speaker of parliament discusses with businessmen of three districts

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu, discussed opportunities created for business environment, with entrepreneurs from Nisporeni, Ungheni and Straseni districts. The meeting is the first in the series of parliamentary hearings organised by Andrian Candu on implementation of Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) between Moldova and EU, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The Speaker presented to business environment benefits of over 20 active programmes, financed from public budget, as well as from external sources. Andrian Candu discussed with businessmen about implementation of programme PARE 1+1, Credit Guarantee Fund, state subsidisation of new jobs creation. It also addressed labour force issue and actions taken to stimulate, supplement and maintain professionals in Moldova. In this respect, there were analised projects on dual education, meal vouchers and programme Prima Casa (First home).
Also, Andrian Candu discussed with entrepreneurs the reformmes’ first effects, whereby the state has aimed to eliminate excessive bureaucracy. The business persons highlighted benefits, time and money savings of eliminating over 60 per cent of permissive business permits. They welcomed optimizing the number of institutions with control functions, simplifying processes and reducing controls. As such, it was approached procedure for introducing unique counter for permissive acts and reduction from 5 to 1 of number of salaries, taxes and insurance reports.
The audience was attended by businessmen from Nisporeni city and localities, representatives of local authorities, ministry of economy and infrastructure (MEI), agency for investments and payments in agriculture (AIPA), ODIMM and other government agencies. The officials answered the entrepreneurs’ questions as to come up with solutions for each of identified problems.
During implementation of DCFTA, EU became the main foreign trade partner of Moldova. The exports to EU increased to 65.7 per cent in 11 months of 2017, compared with 46.8 per cent in 2013. The local enterprises benefited from funding programes of over €90 million, preferential loans and grants. The parliamentary hearings are organized to identify benefits and shortcomings of DCFTA implementation in Moldova from perspective of businessmen in Moldova.
