Over 13,000 Moldovan veterans to receive material assistance on behalf of state

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers, at a today’s meeting, approved a regulation on the way the material assistance is established and paid, which sees amendment of the mechanism of providing this assistance, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The people with disabilities in the wake of the Afghanistan war, rehabilitated victims of the political repressions from 1917-1990, disabled persons in the wake of the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, persons with disabilities in the wake of participation in the Chernobyl accident relief works will receive a one-off material assistance worth 1,000 lei.
The participants in the World War II will benefit from a yearly material aid worth 10,000 lei and people involved in demining areas and objects on the concerned period will receive 5,000 lei each.
There are 13,590 persons benefiting from material assistance on behalf of the state in all. More than 22,000 lei is provided for in the 2018 state budget for the payment of the annual material assistance and partial compensation of the spending.
