Moldovan foreign minister meets European commissioner

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/- On the sidelines of the working visit to Brussels, Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi met Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn on 14 February, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service has reported.
The officials exchanged views on the priorities of the political dialogue between Moldova and the EU and perspectives for implementation of the macro-financial assistance programme. The Moldovan official pointed out the authorities’ determination to boost the implementation of the Association Agreement, increase the pace of implementation of reforms, as well as to promote more intense communication between the authorities and the European institutions.
Referring to the justice reform, Ulianovschi informed the official about the package of measures due to be implemented during the year. Also, they approached some issues of public administration reform , especially, strengthening institutional capacity.
Hahn assured that the EU will continue to provide support for Moldova’s reform agenda and reiterated the importance of impact of transformations on citizens.
Additionally, they discussed the situation in the Transnistrian conflict settlement. Both officials agreed on the need to continue positive dynamics in resolving issues on the agenda.
