Moldovan, European officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/- Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi met Secretary General of the European External Action Service Helga Schmid in Brussels on 14 February, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service has reported.
The officials reviewed the priorities of the reform agenda implemented by the Moldovan authorities on the basis of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU. The Moldovan official referred to the concept of justice reform recently presented in Chisinau. Also, they noted the efforts on ensuring the functioning of the institutions responsible for ensuring the integrity of civil servants and officials.
Referring to the foreign policy and security issues, Helga Schmid encouraged Moldova to further contribute to EU crisis management missions. Ulianovschi expressed interest in deepening the dialogue with the EU on security. They also discussed the prospects for advancing the Transnistrian conflict settlement during the Italian OSCE Presidency.
