Parliament ratified Moldovan-Georgian Convention to avoid double taxation

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/- Parliament today ratified the Convention between the Moldovan and Georgian governments on avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion on income.
The document provides for boosting economic cooperation between the two states by creating favorable conditions for business communities and drawing foreign investments in national economies. At the same time, it regulates the exchange of information between the parties in order to avoid double taxation and to prevent tax evasion.
The Moldovan-Georgian Convention was signed on 29 November 2017 during the working visit by Prime Minister Pavel Filip to Tbilisi.
Currently, Moldova is currently applying conventions to avoid double taxation with 48 states.
