Chisinau, 3 May /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on the promulgation, as well as the law on amendment and completion of the Law No 190/2003 on veterans will be published in the 4 May issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The wife or husband of the person who had been posthumously awarded the Order of the Republic or Stefan cel Mare order will have right to allocations worth 500 lei monthly for special merits before the state. At the same time, in the case of parents in divorce, the sum is divided, upon request, between them in equal parts.
The new regulations see that the monthly allocation will be established on the date of submitting the application with all needed acts, no matter whether the people are or are not beneficiaries of pensions or state social allocations. The new stipulations will enter into force on 1 July 2018.
Statistic data shows that 100 Order of the Republic distinctions and 139 Stefan cel Mare ones were awarded posthumously under decrees by Moldova’s president.
