Delimiting of public property to be regulated by new law in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 May /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on promulgation, as well as the law on delimiting the public assets will be published in the 4 May issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).  

The document regulates the legal regime applicable to the public property, the competences of the government, central and local public authorities in the process of delimiting public assets. The law is meant to strengthen the legal framework, in order to delimit the public assets and ensure the right to property and efficiently use of the state’s public assets, public assets of all first- and second-level administrative and territorial units.   

The law specifies the responsibilities of the participants in the process of delimiting and their powers, relations which appear between the central and local public authorities, taking into account the national public interest and public interest of local communities. The draft sets the categories of assets which are assigned to the public property of the state and administrative and territorial units.
