Around 250 motorbikes registered in four months of 2018 in Moldova

Chisinau, 08 May /MOLDPRES/ – Around 250 motorcycles were registered within first four months of 2018.

According to the Public Services Agency (ASP), these include both two – wheel vehicles with engines of large cylindrical capacity, as well as smaller capacity motorcycles.

The statistical data shows that most demanded motorbikes brands with a cylinder capacity exceeding 500 cm3 are: Honda, BMW, Kawasaki and Suzuki. However, during this period, there were registered: 24 Honda, 16 BMW, 13 Suzuki and 10 Kawasaki motorcycles.

The owners of motorcycles with cylinder capacity not more 500 cm3 choose brands Yamaha and Viper. As such, in first quarter of 2018, there were registred 127 motorcycles of Viper and 25 Yamaha.

According to the State Transport Register's data, over 20,700 motorcycles of different brands and models are currently registered in Moldova. If in 2016, there were recorded 1,255 vehicles on two wheels and about 1,370 motorbikes in 2017.

The registration of motorcycles can be done at any territorial subdivision of Registration Department of the means of transport and qualification of drivers of ASP.
