Moldovan government keeps on optimising state institutions' work

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ – The National Social Assistance Agency (ANAS) will be reorganised throughout absorption of the Republican Social Population Support Fund (FRSSP) as to ensure effective management in implementation of state policies within social assistance. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a decision on it today, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The institution subdivisions concerned will be restructured to ensure an efficient management of resources allocated in particular to funding of special – purpose programmes within social assistance and financing of social services included into minimum package of social services.
The institution optimisation is result of Government reform and as to reduce state expenses for administrative maintenance of two entities which currently exist.
The Executive has also approved Regulation on organisation and functioning of the National Administration of Penitentiaries (ANP). Thus, regulatory framework, in a new structure, is created for activity of penitentiary system, into entry into force, on 16 May 2018, of Law on the penitentiary administration system.
The main changes in restructuring of penitentiary system are related to dismantling of subdivisions: Direction of guard troops, surveillance and escort and Technical and material supply centre, liquidation of two open – type penitentiaries and staff optimisation to increase number of executing employees. The capacity of entity is set at 2,960 employees.
Also, following the approved modifications by Government today, State Chancellery has assumed attributions within "ensuring promotion and monitoring of state policy implementation into modernising public services".
