Premier promises to personally follow march of works within Good Roads for Moldova programme

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, highlighted the successful launch of the Good Roads for Moldova programme, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

According to the information unveiled by the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, five road segments have been already completed, work is carried out on another three sites, and the works will start this week on the other ten construction sites.

‘’We are set to carry this programme through till the end of this year;  therefore, I will try to personally follow the march of the work on the implementation of this project and I will ask the Economics Ministry to weekly present me information on problems appearing,’’ Pavel Filip said.  

Also, the prime minister stressed the need of a close communication with people from the settlements where roads are repaired: ‘’We are aware that the repair of roads trigger also a certain discomfort on the period of the construction site’s work; yet,, instead, people will take advantage of it afterwards.’’

The Good Roads for Moldova national programme provides for the rehabilitation, till late 2018, of 1,200 km of local roads in 1,200 settlements. The overall sum of investments will amount to 1.6 billion lei, allocated from the road fund and stat budget.
