Use of state's official or historical name to be regulated by law in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/ - The use of the state’s official or historical name, abbreviations and the latter’s derivatives by legal entities will be regulated under law. The parliament passed a draft law to this effect in the final reading today.
According to the new regulations, the use of the official names will be allowed only if the solicitant gets permission to this end, which is given and withdrawn in conditions set by the government. The state tax for the issuance of the permission for the use of the official name will be of 100,000 lei.
At the same time, the legal entity who was withdrawn the permission to use the official or historical name of the state is obliged to change its name in a period of 30 days after the date of receiving the decision on the withdrawal of the permission.
The new legislative amendments will enter into force three months upon the date of their publication in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
