First course of Italian bakery, pastry sompleted in south Moldova town

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - Graduates of the first course of bakers and pastry makers from southern Moldova, trained by famous entrepreneurs from Italy, took their certificates of professional qualification in late last week. The documents are approved by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry.    

The course of professional training for bakers and pastry makers was carried out in Cimislia by the South Regional Development Agency (ADR South), with the support of Italian partners, within the NON SOLO PANE project. The graduates of the course took an assessment test, within which they had to put into practice the knowledge accumulated and independently bake bread, pizza and other pastry products made according to the Italian recipe. In the end, the people attending the courses received certificates of professional qualification handed by Italian Ambassador to Moldova Valeria Biagiotti.    

‘’I am quite contented to see a concrete example of cooperation between Italian and Moldovan institutions, as well as of carrying out of a synergy between the private sector and the public one, in order to turn to good account the social and economic potential of the South Development Region and boost it, as well as of Moldova, in general,’’ Valeriu Biagiotti said at a ceremony on the end of the courses.

ADR South Director Maria Culesov wished bakers and pastry makers who finished the professional qualification course to have good success in continuation, ‘’either they apply for a new job or they want to extend their business or start a business in the sector.’’   

The training course took place within the NON SOLO PANE project, carried out by ARD South, in partnership with Italian entrepreneur Albino Irali and Green Projects Ltd company. The goal of the project was to enhance the economic competitiveness of the South Region through consolidating the entrepreneurial and professional capacities in the field of processing and fabricating flour products.
