Moldovan Moldovan pupils get medals at Balkan Mathematical Olympiads

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan pupils have got five bronze medals and one honour mention at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad.
According to the Education, Culture and Research Ministry, the medals were awarded to pupils of the 9th – 11th forms of the Orizont theoretical lyceum from the Durlesti settlement, Chisinau municipality.
Moldova’s team was represented by six pupils and two teachers.
The contest took place in the Belgrade city, Serbia, on 7-12 May. As many as 107 pupils from 17 countries participated in the Olympiad.
In late last April, Moldovan pupils got two bronze medals at the D. Mendeleeev International Chemistry Olympiad . The contest was held in Minsk, Belarus.
