Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - The First Home 2 programme will be launched in Moldova. The programme will come up with facilities meant exclusively for state employees. Within the programme, authorities will pay from the state budget a half of the cost of dwellings purchased by employees of the state structures. The spokesman for the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Vitalie Gamurari, made statements to this effect at the end of the PDM weekly meeting today.
According to Gamurari, the state will pay a half of the cost of dwellings; the rest of the money, as well as the interests will be paid by the state officials.
“By this programme, PDM wants to do its utmost for an as large as possible number of young people to find the solution to purchase a flat; and it is about, first of all, stimulating those willing to work in the state institutions, in the public sector,” Gamurari noted.
He specified that all details on the concept of the programme, as well as the way of implementation will be soon made public by the Finance Ministry.
On 26 March 2018, the authorities launched the First Home governmental programme. So far, more than 1,000 young families from all over Moldova have submitted applications to banks to buy a dwelling.
Citizens aged up to 45 years, who are officially employed, do not have their own dwellings and do not have other mortgage loans, can submit applications for the First Home programme. The applicants can buy any house which costs one million lei at the most and should initially pay ten per cent of the cost.
