Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - About 80 leisure camps are to work in next summer and around 60,000 children and teenagers are to benefit from their services.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the chief consultant at the general education directorate of the Education, Culture and Research Ministry, Daniela Cotovitcaia, said that the approximate price for one day of leisure at Moldovan camps was 175 lei.

“The cost of one ticket in camps for the leisure and recovery of the health of children and teenagers was calculated depending on the duration of the period of rest and other important indexes. Presently, preparations are made for the opening of camps. The works are managed by the local public administration, trade unions or private agents, depending on the fact whom the camp is subordinated to,” Cotovitcaia said.

The financing of the summer camps for children and teenagers will be made from the state budget and local budgets, from sums paid by parents and resources earmarked by enterprises, organizations and associations.

The government will provide free of charge about 25 per cent of all tickets distributed in summer camps to more categories of children and teenagers, among whom orphan children, those from disadvantaged families, one-parent families, as well as  families with three and more children,” Cotovitcaia added.

At the same time, the ministry will buy 100 tickets for pupils from Romania and 300 tickets for pupils of the general education institutions from Moldova’s eastern districts, subordinated to the ministry.

The summer camps will be opened in June – August.
