Moldovan foreign affairs minister meets representatives of diplomatic corps

Chisinau, 16 May /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi has unveiled the results of the Moldova-EU Association Council and priorities of cooperation on the foreign policy dimension at a meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union member states, as well as of the development partners accredited in Chisinau, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
The Moldovan diplomacy head made a comprehensive presentation of the Moldovan government’s concerns about the European integration process through the light of the commitments assumed in accordance with the Association Agreement. Ulianovschi paid special attention to the reformation of justice, fighting corruption, reforming the central and local public administration, etc.
Referring to the bilateral dialogue with EU, Minister Ulianovschi said that, “in line with our priorities within the Eastern Partnership (EaP), Moldova presented a reflection paper concerning the strengthening of our bilateral cooperation with the European Union and the platform of the EaP Partnership. These proposals will be considered by EU and taken into account in the consolidation of our future cooperation.” The Moldovan diplomacy head stressed that Moldova was determined to continue the European road and that the support of the European friendly countries mattered a lot on this way.
The foreign affairs minister informed the heads of the diplomatic missions about Moldova’s priorities in the process of bilateral and regional cooperation, both with each state separately and within various international organizations. In the context, Tudor Ulianovschi informed the diplomats about a meeting of the heads of government of the member states of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM), due in Chisinau on 21 June, within Moldova’s chairmanship at this organization. “The event will be organized along with a business forum which, in essence, meets the priorities announced by Moldova for our chairmanship – development and enhancement of commercial opportunities and of the communication connections between our countries,” Tudor Ulianovschi added.
