World Health Organization experts to train Moldovan physicians in post-immunization supervision sector

Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ - Five international experts of the World Health Organization (WHO) from Canada, the USA and Denmark on 25-29 June provide assistance to specialists from Moldova to adjust the National Guidelines for Surveillance of Adverse Events Following Immunization and implement it.
According to the press service of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, the participants in working sessions will be informed and guided about the latest developments in the field of surveillance of adverse events following immunization, determining the main parameters at the collection of information, new concepts in identifying the adverse post-immunization events, the inquiry, collection and analysis of data.
After the mission is over, the national specialists will give final touches, after recommendation received, to the National Guidelines for Surveillance of Adverse Events Following Immunization. They are to be approved and implemented, in order to create a standardized and systematized process of supervising adverse post-immunization events in Moldova.
According to ministry’s press service, in December 2017, a group of Moldovan specialists worked out draft National Guidelines for Surveillance of Adverse Events Following Immunization in Moldova. The document will be given final touches and implemented as a support for family physicians, pediatricians, specialists in infection diseases, epidemiologists, immunologists and other categories of specialists.
