Firemen from Austria donate eight special vehicles to colleagues from Moldova

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - Firemen volunteers from Austria today donated eight special vehicles to rescuers volunteers from Moldova.
The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu, has said that four special vehicles would be brought to firemen volunteers from the settlements Larga, Capaclia, Colibas and Selemet and another four – to firemen’s posts due to be soon inaugurated.
In the last six years, Austrian firemen donated 38 special vehicles for interventions, which filled the technical and material basis of more posts of rescuers and firemen from Moldova’s rural regions.
According to the national programme on strengthening the service of rescuers and firemen in rural settlements, more than 200 stations are to be inaugurated in Moldova till 2020. At present, over 40 posts of firemen and rescuers work in Moldova with the involvement of civilians. They represent the first intervention source in emergency situations, till specialized teams come.
